Native Turkana children attend free educational classes at the mission base at a school built by the missionary community of Saint Paul The Apostle (MCSPA) in Nariokotome, an arid desert area of northwest Kenya. The Turkana people are an ethnic group, traditionally semi-nomadic pastoralists, who reside in various areas in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan and Ethiopia. The missionary community often provides free food, clothing, education and medical treatment for the natives in the area.
